Disgraced Swedish detective Jonas Engström travels to Northern Norway to solve a brutal murder.

I was looking for the kind of film that this is supposed to be, and therefore I am disappointed. [1] Roger Ebert of the Chicago Sun-Times compared it to the Fyodor Dostoyevsky novel Crime and Punishment.
