The story is told primarily from a first person point of view and I didn't really feel any points that were disjointed or would remove me from the story. I won't summarise the plot - you can get that from the blurb - but I will say that I had NO IDEA how the story was going to pan out and my heart was in my mouth as the novel reached its thrilling climax. But this tale is a bit different.
It is a suspenseful-mystery that kept me turning pages fast.

Can't recommend it but do read any of her others, they're awesome. Her books are horrifying but that is offset by the beauty of her writing and the authenticity of her characters. The Beautiful Dead has a lot of the qualities that make me want to keep reading a book. This book takes our notion of zombies and turns them on their head. I was drawn to this story because of the subject matter.
But I really do believe that these characters have SO much potential for extra back stories & side development. However, it is a bit flat as the story unwinds it is easy to foresee what's going to happen. If you’re having doubts, don’t.

Well, Belinda Bauer you have done it again. Strange, clever and unusual creatures are among the many well crafted components of his spirit world. The twists and turns had me sitting on the edge of my seat. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for something fresh and new. Daryl Had me hook ,line and sinker with this !!!!!! Belinda now lives in Wales. I always look forward to a new Belinda Bauer book, and The Beautiful Dead lived up to my expectations. I enjoyed this book. This is my first time reading a book by this author and I am glad I read it.
